ORDERS & ORDER MANAGEMENT

 

Can I modify my order after placing it?

Orders can only be modified within a limited time after purchase. Kindly contact our team immediately if you need to make changes to your order. 

Can I cancel my order?

If you change your mind about an order, kindly contact us within 24 hours. Once production, packaging, or shipping has started, cancellations are no longer possible. 

Why was my order cancelled?

An order may be cancelled if the item(s) are no longer available. You can contact our team for further clarification. 

I didn’t receive an order confirmation email.

Please check your spam or promotions folder first. If you still haven’t received it, contact our customer care team and we’ll assist you promptly. 

 

SIZING & FIT

 

How do I know my correct size?

Each product page includes a detailed size guide to help you find your best fit. If you need further assistance, our team is happy to guide you personally. 

Are your pieces true to size?

Our pieces are designed to fit true to size unless otherwise stated in the product description. 

What if I’m between sizes?

If you prefer a more relaxed fit, we generally recommend sizing up. You can also contact us for personalized sizing recommendations. 

Do you offer custom sizing or alterations?

Selected pieces may be available for custom sizing or minimal alterations. Kindly contact us before placing your order to confirm availability. Customized pieces cannot be returned. 

What if the piece doesn’t fit me properly?

We recommend reviewing our size guide carefully before ordering. If you experience sizing issues, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist. 

 

FABRICS, CRAFTSMANSHIP & GARMENT CARE

 

What fabrics do you use?

We work with thoughtfully sourced fabrics including linen, cotton, silk blends, and indigenous African textiles such as Akwete, Asoke, Okene cloth, and other heritage fabrics. 

Are your fabrics ethically sourced?

We are intentional about craftsmanship, quality, and preserving cultural artistry through responsible production practices wherever possible. 

Why do some pieces have slight variations?

Some of our fabrics and finishing techniques are handcrafted or artisan-made, making slight variations part of the beauty and uniqueness of each garment. 

How should I care for my garments?

Care instructions are included on each garment label and product page. We generally recommend gentle handling, dry cleaning, or mild hand washing for delicate pieces. 

 

 SHIPPING & DELIVERY

 

Where are you based, and do you ship internationally?

We are proudly based in Nigeria, where each piece is lovingly crafted. Yes, we offer worldwide shipping. 

How long does delivery take?

Delivery timelines vary depending on your location and whether the item is ready-to-wear, made-to-order, or a backorder item.

Typical estimates:

  • Nigeria: 2–7 business days
  • International: 5–15 business days
  • Backorders: 4–6 weeks 

What shipping carrier do you use?

We use DHL for international deliveries. 

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel weight. Shipping is complimentary for orders above $400. 

How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email or WhatsApp. 

What happens if my package is delayed?

While we work with trusted shipping partners, occasional delays may occur due to customs processing or courier operations. We appreciate your patience and will always help monitor your shipment. 

What happens if my package is lost?

If your package appears lost in transit, kindly contact us immediately so we can investigate with the shipping carrier. 

Will I pay customs duties or taxes?

International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes depending on your country’s regulations. These fees are the responsibility of the customer. 

 

PAYMENTS & CURRENCIES

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept secure payments through available payment gateways including debit/credit cards, bank transfer, Apple Pay, and other local/international payment methods displayed at checkout. 

Do you accept foreign currencies?

Apart from Naira, we also accept payments in Dollars and Euros. 

Can I pay in Naira for an international order?

Unfortunately, we don’t accept Naira payments for orders shipping internationally. International orders must be placed using foreign currency. 

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

Can I return my order?

Eligible returns may be accepted according to our return policy. Refunds are issued as store credit only. Customized items and discounted items cannot be returned. 

What items are non-returnable?

The following items are generally non-returnable:

  • Sale/ discounted  items
  • Custom-sized pieces
  • Worn garments
  • Damaged items caused after delivery
  • Made-to-order garments 

Can I exchange an item?

We accept exchanges on eligible items within 10 days of delivery, subject to availability. The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all gift/ packaging intact. 

How do I request a return or exchange?

Kindly contact our customer care team with:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for request
  • Photos if applicable 

What if I receive a damaged or incorrect item?

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging so we can resolve the issue promptly. 

How long before I receive my store credit refund?

Approved returns are processed within 1-3 working days after inspection. 

 

MADE-TO-ORDER & RESTOCKS

 

What does made-to-order mean?

Made-to-order garments are created after your purchase is confirmed, allowing for more intentional production and craftsmanship. 

Can made-to-order items be returned?

Due to their personalized nature, made-to-order items are generally non-returnable. 

Will sold-out items be restocked?

Some pieces may return in limited restocks, while others remain exclusive to a collection. 

How can I know when an item is restocked?

You can subscribe to our email list or follow our social channels for restock announcements. 

 

GIFTING & PACKAGING

 

Can I gift someone a Domina by Michelle piece?

Yes. Our pieces make beautiful gifts, and gifting options may be available during checkout. 

Can I include a gift message?

Absolutely. Simply leave your message in the notes section at checkout, and we’ll include a handwritten card with your order. 

Will my order come in a gift box or branded envelope?

All garments are wrapped in our signature premium tissue. Some international orders containing multiple items may arrive in a mailer box due to volumetric shipping considerations. Gift packaging can be ordered separately. 

Do you offer eco-conscious packaging?

Yes. We are committed to sustainability and may use consolidated packaging to reduce waste while preserving an elegant unboxing experience.

Absolutely. Our team can recommend styling options, accessories, and occasion-based suggestions.
